06 - 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
→ Crumble Topping
07 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
08 - ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
09 - ½ cup light brown sugar
10 - ½ cup rolled oats (optional, for extra crunch)
11 - Pinch of salt
# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly butter a medium baking dish about 8 x 10 inches (20 x 25 cm).
02 - In a large bowl, combine sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Toss to coat evenly.
03 - Spread the apple mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
04 - In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, oats (if using), and salt. Add cold butter cubes and rub with fingertips until mixture forms coarse crumbs.
05 - Evenly scatter the crumble topping over the apple layer in the baking dish.
06 - Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the topping is golden and apples are bubbling.
07 - Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, optionally accompanied by vanilla ice cream or custard.
